Taekwondo
Taekwondo is a Korean martial art characterized by its emphasis on dynamic kicking techniques, agility, and fast-paced movements. It is one of the most popular martial arts practiced worldwide and is recognized as an Olympic sport.
The term “Taekwondo” can be broken down into three parts: “Tae” meaning foot or to strike with the foot, “Kwon” meaning hand or to strike with the hand, “Do” meaning the way or path.
Thus, Taekwondo can be loosely translated to “the way of the foot and fist.”
